BRITTON Sunnybrow, peacefully on December 9, after a short illness Alan aged 72 years. Dearly beloved husband of Edna, much loved father of Darren and Ian, loving father-in-law of Elizabeth and Anna, dearly loved grandad of Rebecca, Matthew, Isobel, Charlotte and Ella also a dear brother, brother-in-law, uncle,nephew, cousin and a good friend to many. Would friends please meet for service at St. Stephen's Church, Willington, on Friday, December 22, at 12.15p.m., followed by cremation at Durham Crematorium. Floral tributes to be delivered to Hardy's Funeral Service Willington, donations if desired to Cancer Research may be left as you leave the church.

So sorry to hear the sad passing of Alan such a great friend and always there to help and advise me in my former employment and later in the club and pub circuit sadly missed deepest condolences to family and friends ....Tom....

A true gentle-man in every sense - Alan will be much missed. Thoughts are with Edna and family at this time and hoping that memories of good times shared together can bring some comfort at this sad time.
