BARKESS On November 14, suddenly but peacefully at home, of Ushaw Moor (formerly of Framwellgate Moor). Vera, aged 70 years. Beloved daughter of the late Alice and George, much loved sister of Susan, sister-in-law of Paul and sadly missed by her many friends. Would friends please meet for service in St Luke's Church, Ushaw Moor, on Monday, November 27, at 11.15a.m., followed by cremation at Durham. All welcome for refreshments at Durham Indoor Bowling Club afterwards. Donations, in lieu of flowers, may be given after the service for The British Heart Foundation.
