HOWARTH Peacefully at home, on July 23, of Brandon, formerly of Ushaw Moor, John (retired joiner). Much loved husband of Veronica, precious dad of Laura, father of Lucy and Sam, adopted dad to Robert, Duncan and Stewart, father-in-law to Clair and Kim and a loving brother, grandfather and great-grandfather. Friends please meet for Requiem Mass in St. Joseph's R.C. Church, Ushaw Moor, on Monday, July 31, at 9.15a.m., with private cremation to follow. Friends welcome for refreshments at Ushaw Moor Catholic Club afterwards. Family flowers only please, donations in lieu of flowers for Marie Curie Nurses, Macmillan Nurses and Meadowfield District Nurses may be given after the service. On whose soul sweet Jesus have mercy. R.I.P.
