MEREDITH (nee Whelan) Former Mayoress of Darlington 1968, Town Councillor and County Councillor. On April 24, peacefully after a short illness, Ellen aged 92 years of Darlington. Dearly beloved wife of the late Hayden, much loved mam of Susan, Elaine, Robert, Geoff, Wendy and Ian, also a loving mother-in-law, nana and great-nana. Funeral Wednesday, May 3. Would friends please meet for a service in Darlington Crematorium at 10:45a.m., prior to cremation. Family flowers only please a donation basket will be available at the crematorium in aid of The Great North Air Ambulance Service.
