SIMPSON Norman Davison, (Coal Merchant), aged 81 years, of Butterknowle, died peacefully in hospital on January 28. Dearly loved husband of Bessie, a dearly loved dad and grandad and a good friend to many. Funeral Service at St. John’s Church, Ly-nesack, on Friday, February 8, at 11.00 a.m., followed by interment in the cemetery. Friends please meet at the church. Family flowers only please, if desired donations for The Friends of Butterknowle Surgery may be given at Butterknowle Village Hall following the service or sent care of John Blenkiron & Sons Ltd, Funeral Directors, 19 Galgate, Barnard Castle. DL12 8EQ.
