Winnie and Geoff were my sisters' Godparents
and as a child, my dad would take me to their
home in catterick, he would go off to work with
Geoff and I would spend the day with Winnie.
They took me on many adventures to parks, farms, walks and richmond market.
In 1988, my sister was very ill and only freeman
hospital in Newcastle upon tyne could treat her,
so my sister stayed there for 6months, my mother stayed with her, my parents were now divorced so winnie and geoff kindly took me in for those 6 months and started me in a new school there, they drove me to newcastle to visit my mother and sister every fortnight at the hospital, they were so great to me, they kept me distracted from what was going on, really looked
after me, I made new friends like kimberley, sheena, kirsten and patch the dog, loved the scottish terrier named whiskey they had, kept me
in high spirits!
there was no sign of my sister getting better so my mother got a house in newcastle and off i went to start another new life, I occassionaly
visited winnie and geoff but eventually it got less
and less until i completely lost touch.
Feeling nostalgic, I looked them up on google and found announcements of their deaths on here, wish i hadnt now. I deeply regret not keeping in touch, they were both amazing people and very strong influences in my life. I will never forget them.
if anyone who knew them and remembers me and would like to get in touch, my email is funkymonkeyshaun@yah

i know this was a long message but i want people to know how amazing they were.
