THERE will be a chance to make a ‘mini me’ of yourself at a special community day in Stockton next month.
The free family called Fun Palaces at The Arc is designed to celebrate arts and science activities.
A big attraction will be Luke Harding’s Model Citizens project in which individuals are scanned and a ‘mini me’ doll of him or her created.
Other activities will include a travelling circus show, the creation of a ‘glass palace’ and the chance for children to make wooden dens.
There will also be the chance to marvel at Iain Jay’s Travelling Medicine Show which includes a show by imaginary fleas with names.
The Model Citizens art installation by Luke Harding, who runs the Waiting Room restaurant in Eaglescliffe, has already been a hit in the town. He eventually want to make a model of the whole town with six inch models of real people in it.
Other Fun Palace activities will take place at Middlesbrough’s Ormesby Hall.
A spokeswoman for The Arc explained the concept behind the day. She said: “Fun Palaces is the brainchild of the late theatre director Joan Littlewood. It was a concept created between her and the architect Cedric Price who both had a vision to fill public spaces throughout the country with free and interactive arts and science activities.”
