All of the traders have been confirmed for a new County Durham Farmers Market that will launch later this month.
Middleton-in-Teesdale Farmers Market will take place on Saturday, May 25, and will then take place on the final Saturday of every month at the Mart Buildings on The Bank in Middleton-in-Teesdale.
The organiser of the event, Naomi Katze, only moved to the town in 2023 but has already signed up 37 stallholders for the first edition of the market on the 25th.
Naomi, who has run successful farmer market events in Lincolnshire, where she used to live, has set out what the markets are about - and about her hopes for the event.
She said: "We are very focused on being a traditional Farmers Market (and not an art/craft fair).
"We wanted to, and have succeeded in booking all the types of traders that you would hope to see at a traditional farmers' market.
She added: "We’re also very keen to promote the village itself and hope that the people that come to the market, will also go on to support the village shops, cafés, pubs and activities."
The markets will take place on the last Saturday of each month at Middleton Mart Buildings on The Bank in Middleton-in-Teesdale, DL12 0PG.
