A teenager has been arrested after a burglary spree in a County Durham town that saw a Range Rover stolen from one property.
The suspect, a 15-year-old, allegedly targeted houses in Willington, Crook, overnight on Thursday (March 14) - which saw him reportedly target five addresses in the area
A vehicle was stolen from one of the addresses which has since been recovered thanks to information from residents.
Police say a 15-year-old boy has been arrested in connection with the incidents and remains in custody.

Enquiries are ongoing in relation to further suspects involved in the burglaries.
Inspector Peter Lonsdale, from South Durham CID said: “I would like to thank the residents of Willington for providing vital information which has led us to recover a stolen Range Rover and identify a suspect.
“If you have information which could help us with our investigation, please get in touch on 101.
"If you are witnessing a crime taking place, contact police immediately on 999."
